Evolution vs Intelligent Design

At the core of the debate Intelligent Design is considered as a non-scientific in intellectual arena. Eveybody might be just happy if ID can be taken as subject of religion may be.

Existence of Universe is a result of some weird accident or it is a high precision machine carefully design by the greatest creator of all, GOD. At the core of a question, Debate between theory of Intelligent Design and Evolution is continuation of old battle between GOD and science.

Theory of Evolution "Judging the Past we may safely infer that not one living species will transmit its unaltered likeness to a distant futurity. And of the species now living very few will transmit progeny of any kind to a far
distant futurity" Charles Darwin, The Origin of species (1859)

Central to the theory of Evolution is a phenomenon of Mutation and Theory of Natural Selection. Mutation is a natural process of change in a DNA sequence leading to transition in the biological species and natural selection controls the existence of biological species.

Intelligent Design on the other hand insists on a Existence of Supernatural Power (GOD) as the driving force of a theory. Theory claims that Biological units like individual cells and neuron motors are too complex and irreducible to follow evolution and hence there is a designer to create guide their behavior.

Followers of Intelligent Design claims the genuinity of the theory upon inability of evolution theory to explain complex biological Mechanism like Optical Precision of Eyeballs, Spinning Motors in Cells which propel the bacteria out and Protein that cause the blood to clot. A separate group of theorist on Intelligent Design indicates failure of Evolution theory to Obey the 2nd law of thermodynamics suggesting incompatibility of the theory to explain biological species and their progression.

2nd Law of Thermodynamics states "Any spontaneous action in a closed system will generate Entropy and hence entropy in the universe is always increasing." According to Creationist theory of Evolution does not
follow the universal law, as theory of evolution suggest biological species growing more and more complex and intelligent.

For a hard core Evolutionist, Darwin's study is a elaborated collection of facts and figures with scientific explanations, compare to Theory of Intelligent Design which is mostly about faith and beliefs or merely a metaphysical speculation. Any scientific theory follows a ground rule of "No Miracles Allowed", whereas Theory of Intelligent Design Strongly suggest presence of superpower to prove existence of complex biological species.

To defend the scientific essence of the Evolution theory, Evolution theorists are pointing at the non-scientific approach of the Intelligent theory and inability to show experimental proof for existence of a superpower. Existence of Intelligent design as a theory largely depends upon exception in The theory of Evolution. No theory can establish its existence on the base of criticism alone, It needs to have its own philosophy, and set of logics those can be experimentally proven.

As the media showcasing the debate all these years, it can not be ignored that Experts and followers from both the theories criticizing each other to retain their beliefs rather then conducting discussion on scientific grounds. Theory of Intelligent design needs a careful treatment and evaluation on logical reasoning and scientific basis, otherwise it will be looked upon as a Pseudoscience, disqualifying itself from competing with Evolution.

For Creationist and followers of Intelligent design theory, Evolution doesn't prove non-existence of God or God being Unscientific. Evolution mostly answers the question "HOW ?" for transitions in living species, but questions like "WHY" mutation exists, or "WHY" natural selection doesn't allowed dinosaurs to continue on earth, "WHY" homosepians continue to lead the planet even when they were weak comparatively, are left to the superpower.

It would be inappropriate for readers like us to test compatibility of evolution theory with 2nd law of thermodynamics. If 2nd law of thermodynamics is suggesting increase in the entropy (Chaos), why should biological species follow it. Are biological species gone mad to go chaotic, in fact it makes sense for them to become more intelligent to face increasing chaos in the universe.

Yes, Evolution doesn't answers why the first life begin at all, just as the theory of big bang which explains everything other than WHY big bang happened in the first place. Intelligent Design probably answers the "Why" unanswered in evolution, but then God may not like to intervene the universe once he has created it, leave it to evolution.

Intelligent Design theorist hopefully will come up with their own philosophy very soon. Theory of Evolution will be spared from the debate and left to the microbiologists and paleontologist for the study of fossils and embryos. Once the intellectual energies are dusted on both the ends, there can be new thread of discussion on "Denial of biological species to follow the universal laws of physics", why struggle exists between laws of nature and existence of life.
